Second Storey was an artist-run space in which established and emerging artists could explore and develop projects to foster art making. By bringing together people and ideas in a mutual learning environment, we aim to encourage experimentation and collaborative dialogue. In this way second storey is a community that is open and diverse, valuing critique and rigorous making.
Second Storey was established in 2011 and was based on K'rd, Auckland until sometime in 2013. It was run by Gemma Skipper, Lisa Rayner, Sarah Alexander, Phillip Good, Claudia Jowitt and Ena Kosovac.
